My thoughts about children: What a wonderful life I've had in the many years of being in the classroom. To see the children have fun, delight in watching their explorations, and soak up any knowledge or experiences that come their way. I feel it's important to encourage and support their endeavors and work out most challenges that come their way. How lucky I am to be in a career that is so much fun. I've also have learned so much working with the special needs children here at First Pres. The achievements they make are heart filled.
What I like to do outside of school: Gardening, Reading, Most outdoor
sports, Traveling, especially with my family. I could go on and on....
Teacher Cathy
* 10 years at First Presbyterian Preschool
* 25 years working in the classroom
My thoughts about children: Children have a natural sense of wonderment. What better place than preschool to facilitate this fabulous quality? Exploration in cause and effect and asking questions like "I wonder what would happen if..." are of daily importance! And I get to see it firsthand, everyday!!
What I like to do outside of school: Collecting antique crystal, Researching genealogy, Reading.
